According to the researchers, sulfonyaluria drugs of type 2 diabetes are cheap and popular, but what is the effect on their heart for a long time, it is less information. In this study, 48165 type 2 diabetes patients were included, whose heart’s risk was moderate and who were undergoing treatment in 10 different hospitals in the country. It was seen in the study that how the patients who were taking sulfonyluria or DPP-4 inhibitors with Metformin, how was the risk of heart diseases for five years. As a result, it was revealed that the risk of heart disease among those taking glipies was 13 percent higher than the DPP-4 inhibitor, while the effects of glimpyride and gliaburide were less pronounced. Researchers said that it is also necessary to investigate why glypizide affects the heart. Type 2 diabetes is growing rapidly.
