A man entered the house wearing a burqa in Ashok Nagar area of Delhi pushed the girl from the 5th floor roof. People nearby admitted the victim girl Neha (19 years) to GTB Hospital. Where he died during treatment.
The accused has been identified as Taufiq (26 years). He hails from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place around 8:30 am on Monday morning. The absconding accused Taufiq has been arrested by the police on Wednesday after the incident.
According to the police, Taufiq entered Neha’s house wearing a burqa to hide his identity. In the CCTV footage, a man wearing a burqa was seen entering and exiting the building. Police are investigating the incident with the help of CCTV footage by registering a case of murder.
The family says that Neha considered Taufiq as brother. Every Rakshabandhan used to tie a rakhi.
There was a dispute between the two on the roof over the relationship According to the police, Neha and Taufiq were in a relationship for the last few months. When Neha came to know that Taufiq’s marriage was fixed to another girl, there was a fight between the two on the roof of the 5th floor. During this, Taufiq pushed Neha from the roof.
However, Neha’s family has denied a relationship between the two. Neha’s father said- her daughter had ever considered Taufiq as brother. He used to tie a rakhi on every Rakshabandhan. Taufiq used to visit our house for the last three years, but there was no love affair between the two.
The family said- Taufiq threatened Neha
The police is preparing a timeline of the entire incident with the help of CCTV footage by registering a case of murder.
The family of the victim said that the accused Taufiq was pressurizing Neha to marry for a few days. A week ago, he threatened that I will not leave you anywhere. Neha told her mother about it.
Neha’s mother said that Neha had woke up early in the morning on the day of the incident. She said that she is going to wash clothes on the roof. I asked him to turn on a water pump and watch the tank on the roof. Shortly after I heard the screams, people were screaming- hold it, hold it.
The victim’s mother said- I saw Taufiq running away. He was wearing black clothes. We asked her to maintain a brother-sister relationship with Neha. He did not listen to us.
