New Delhi: India’s junior compound archers entered the finals of both men and women here on Tuesday, keeping their dominance in the Asian Cup Phase two.
India’s 10th seed Sachin Chechi lost to Australia’s Joshua Machon in the semi -finals and will face Bachar for a bronze medal.
Shanmukhi scored 706 marks in qualification. He defeated Indonesia’s Yurike Neena Bonita Perera 145–139 in the semi-finals.
The women’s compound team of Shanmukhi, Tejal and Tanishka Thokal scored 2101 points and set a new team qualification world record. The mixed team of Kushal Dalal and Shanmukhi set another world record with a joint score of 1420 points.
