Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee has asked 5 questions to the Modi government on the Pahalgam terror attack. He said- The attack has been over 55 days, but the government did not answer questions on border safety, intelligence failure, foreign policy, media and judicial questions.
Banerjee said on ‘X’- Opposition, media and judiciary also did not raise these questions. This is worrying for democracy. Being a responsible citizen and public representative, I put 5 questions before the Government of India.
He asked- Pahalgam attack was a big lapse for National Security, who would take responsibility for it. If intelligence failed, why was the Chief of Intelligence Bureau expanded a year. Why is the government not using detective tools like Pegasus against terrorists.
He also said- The government should clarify whether the attackers of Pahalgam are alive or killed. If India is the World Guru and the fourth largest economy, then how did Pakistan get money from IMF and World Bank.

- How to enter terrorist border: How to enter the 4 weapons armed terrorists into the Indian border and how did 26 citizens lost their lives? This was a big lapse for National Security. Who will take responsibility for this failure?
- Promotion of IB Chief: If the attack was intelligence failure, then the Chief of the Intelligence Bureau expanded a year. Why was he rewarded only a month after the attack? Why were they not held accountable?
- Use of Pegasus: If the government can run espionage tool pegasus on opposition leaders, journalists and judges, then why is it not being used on terrorists?
- Terrorists are alive or killed: What happened to the 4 terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack? They are killed or alive right now? If killed, why did the government not make a clear statement? And if not killed, why silence?
- How did Pakistan get money:If India is actually the world guru and the fourth largest economy in the world, then why did IMF invest $ 1 billion and World Bank has invests $ 40 billion to Pakistan? How was Pakistan made the vice-president of the UN’s counter-termerism committee?
Banerjee said- 2 lakh crores spent on foreign policy, no answer The TMC leader wrote that in the last 10 years, 2 lakh crore rupees have been spent on foreign affairs. The people of the country want transparency, accountability and results, not silence and excuse.
He said- India contacted 33 countries after Pahalgam, but how many openly supported. Also, if the President of America had convinced India in exchange for ceasefire and business promises, then why did the Government of India not respond.
