The Social, Economic and Educational Survey 2015 report was prepared by the Karnataka Backward Classes Commission. It was to be introduced in the Siddaramaiah cabinet on 17 April. Earlier it was leaked and controversy. Because of this it could not be introduced.
The state’s most influential Vokkaliga and Veerashaiva-Lingayat community raised the Siddaramaiah government in the dock, questioning this survey. The Commission had said that it has made this report by surveying 5.98 crore people out of 6.35 crore population of the state.
Allegations of Vokkaliga-Lingats- Karnataka government reduced our population
The population of the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community in Karnataka has been 18% to 22%. 9 former CMs of the state lived from this community, but in the leaked report they have been described as 11%.
