This pain is of the mother who lost her son in violence erupted during the Gurjar reservation movement on the Pilupura railway track in Bharatpur 17 years ago. Once again on Sunday (May 8), Gurjar Mahapanchayat took place just 150 meters away from the same railway track.

Meanwhile, the Bhaskar team moved to the house of the late Som Singh Gurjar at Chaudharya Ka Nangla (Bayana), located 8 km from the synagogue (Pilupura). As soon as he reached home, his mother’s words were- God! Now no bullet went on.

In 2008, the people who saw the violence with their eyes also told the whole story ..

There was silence in a small village of about a hundred families. Most of the people did not return from the Pilupura Mahapanchayat called by the Gurjar Reservation Sangharsh Samiti. When Som Singh entered Gurjar’s house, his family members were in the house. These people are shocked by the name of movement.

The first met here with Som’s elderly mother Rupa. As soon as we mentioned his son with Rupa, tears flowed through the cracks of the mother’s face. Many times she was stopping while speaking.

The mother's pain was reflected again with the picture of his son Som Singh Gurjar in the bag.

Handling himself in a while, she said- My ‘Soma’ was the youngest and most darling son of 6 siblings. 22 year old young man. Was preparing for competitive examination for a government job. As a mother, I was dreaming of marriage of the youngest son. In May 2008, the agitation for reservation was announced, so it kept flour and vegetables at home. While going, he said that relatives, friends etc. will come to join the movement, when they come home, make bread for them… after this… ‘

Recalling the last thing of the son, tears spilled from the mother's eyes.

Som’s mother’s tears were not taking the name of stopping. He wanted to say a lot, but Rundhe did not support the throat. Seeing them, Som’s elder sister standing nearby could not stop her tears. Elder sister Maya also expressed her feeling with tears wet with tears …

Whenever there is talk of Gurjar movement, my heart becomes up and down. The brother’s appearance comes in front of the eyes. Starts getting nervous. I lost my youngest brother due to the movement. As we are the youngest, the whole family loved him wildly. Those who have gone, now they will not come back. We have lost our brother, but the Gurjar society still did not get reservation sought. Life lost, but if the Gurjars did not get anything, then we will be sad. I would say that there is a movement, but do not firing bullets.

The sister said- Whenever I listen to the movement, the brother's face comes out.

After talking to the late Som Singh Gurjar’s family, we moved towards the synagogue. Talked to those here, who had a shoulder to shoulder in 2007-08 movements with Colonel Kirori Bainsla. Then the people who were involved in the Mahapanchayat told the eyes to Bhaskar…

… saw on spot death, did not eat food for three days Bharat Singh Bainsla of Moodia village said- I belong to the village of Colonel Kirori Bainsla. In 2008, 400-500 men from my village reached the movement. I was also in the movement with Colonel Kirori Bainsla. Just as he is joining the Mahapanchayat today, a similar panchayat was going on at that time. It was the day of 23 May. At that time the bullets were not even given warning before firing. There was a stampede among people, everyone ‘Devnarayan ji ki jai’ Shouted slogans and went towards the tracks. Many people died on the spot. Then more people of the society reached the spot. It was such an atmosphere that did not eat food for three days. Here Pilupura was sitting on a dharna on the track. There was anger in the Gurjar society after firing. Then the violence that erupted is in front of everyone. We had come to the Mahapanchayat thinking that Gurjar society gives reservation properly, even if he has to eat bullets.

It felt like we died Kalyan Gurjar told- I was involved in the movement with Colonel Saheb. Then everything was going on peacefully. The police suddenly shot. There was a stampede. Then the mahapanchayat was going on, people were sitting in the shadow. There were around one thousand people. Shot on unarmeds. At that time it felt that we died… what would we do? After this, he sat on the track to kill us… what is our contest with the government. After this, he sat on track for a month. The first rubber shot was fired, but after that the real bullets were fired. The government cut off electricity. The flour could not run even the mill. After this, rotis used to come from the villages.

We saw with our eyes that people are dying, but not scared Girdhari Singh said that I was present with Colonel Saheb. The mahapanchayat was going on. Suddenly the police vehicles came and landed 25-30 commandos. Started firing bullets. I myself was among the bullets of bullets. Earlier, rubber bullets were fired, in the meantime we also agreed with stones. When there was stone pelting, the police suddenly started firing with real bullets without warning.

We saw it with our eyes that people are dying. Many people died in front of us. There was a pile of corpses. But despite this scene, there was no fear in our mind. We also stood ready. Gurjar is not afraid of dying.

Candidates involved in the Mahapanchayat also have themselves and said that the heart of the family was sweating …

Not only Gurjar student, not only the family in mental stress Nirvana Singh, who came to attend the Mahapanchayat, is preparing for Mehrawar REIT. He told- Not only students preparing for competitive examination in Gurjar society, their families are also under mental stress. Our families have pledged farm to the field to prepare for government jobs. There are many companions who have borrowed money at coarse interest. Children have been sent to a city like Jaipur for preparation.

Financial pressure comes on the family due to lack of benefits of reservation in recruitments. If the government took out 100 posts, then we got 5 seats according to five percent of the reservation. If the government removes 18 or 19 seats, then the benefits of the same seat are available according to the reservation percentage. For 15 years, there are many such recruitments that we did not get the full benefit of reservation.
