New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan, who is known for his calm and simplicity lifestyle, never used to drink alcohol nor eat month meat. But he was not always like this, later he has made changes in his lifestyle.
In an old interview with India Today in 1980, he told about his past that he was a chain-samokar and alcoholic and even a non-vegetarian. He said that the reason for being away from these habits was not religious belief, but there was a practical struggle to find vegetarian food during his foreign trip. Interestingly, Amitabh said that both his wife Jaya Bachchan and his mother Teji like meat and never caused them to trouble. He had said, ‘I do not eat smoking, alcohol or meat. This is not a religious matter, but it is just a matter of test. In our family, my father is a vegetarian and not my mother. Similarly, Jaya eats non -veg and not me. I used to eat meat .. In fact, I used to do alcohol and smoking too, but now I have left all this.
All left after coming to Bombay
The actor further said, ‘In Calcutta I used to smoke 200 cigarettes a day – yes, it is right, 200, but then I left it after coming to Bombay. I used to drink alcohol as well, whatever we used to come in hand, I used to drink, but a few years ago I decided that I did not really need it. My habits do not give me any problem except that when I am shooting abroad. Then, it becomes difficult to get vegetarian food.
Amitabh also told about an angry nature
In the same interview, Amitabh Bachchan spoke openly about his non -violent nature, but he admitted that he was a little angry in his young age days. ‘I don’t think I am a violent person myself. Nor do I often lose my temper. He said, ‘Of course I was involved in some quarrels during my college days, but that’s all. Violence on screen is very unrealistic. It should be fantastic and people accept it in the same form. If we talk about the work front, then Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Pan India Kalki 2898 AD and after that he appeared in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan in South Cinema. In this film, he was re -pairing with Amitabh Bachchan in 1991.
