Mathura: Varanya Rana, daughter of Kanchanpur, a small village in Mathura, has shown this amazing, which has widened the chest of the entire district. Varanya, who returned by winning the gold medal in archery, is now going to represent India in the World Championship to be held in Canada. Selection was done in three -member Indian team
Varanya performed a tremendous demonstration among the players from across the country in the National Junior and Credit Archery Selection Competition held from 22 to 25 May at the Army Sports Institute in Pune, Maharashtra. On the basis of this performance, Varanya has been selected in India’s Under-14 compound team. Now in the last week of June, this three -member team will leave to Canada. The World Championship will be held here. This competition takes place every two years.
The first player of the village
Varanya became the first girl in Mathura to be selected for an international archery competition. He was fond of archery from the beginning, but the path was not easy. The compound bow for archery, which is required, was worth about two and a half lakh rupees. In such a situation, Varanya insisted on her father Gyanendra Singh Rana. While fulfilling the daughter’s dream, he somehow raised money and got a bow.
Daughter’s hard work brought color
Varenya’s coach and his elder father Yogendra Singh Rana said that in the last two years, Varanya is continuously winning the gold medal. His hard work, dedication and confidence have brought him to this point. According to him, Varanya’s performance in the selection trial was very strong and due to that he was selected.
Academy’s strict diet and routine
Varanya says that she practices about 8 hours a day. The food includes juice, fruits, dry fruits, milk and whey. Not only physical, she also does mental exercises, so that the focus will remain during the game. He said that many players work with him in the academy. All the players together encourage each other.
Dream flight
Varanya’s father Gyanendra Singh is a social worker and mother Preeti Doctor. His elder brother Abhinav is also a doctor. Varanya says that the mother wanted him to become a doctor, while Papa wanted him to earn a name in sports. Varanya showed Papa’s dream to come true and now she wants India to illuminate the name of India in the world.
Likes to roam the mountains
