98 percent of the eyesight lost, studies were also missed, but not encouraging, now medal won in national competition

Bikaner. This is the Yashu Swami of Bikaner, who cannot see with the eyes, but there is no shortage in his dreams and passion. About five years ago, an eye disease began to spoil Yashu’s eyes. Today, her eyes have deteriorated up to 98 percent, but her dream is still watching with closed eyes. His parents and the whole family stand with him to fulfill this dream. Yashu started swimming about two years ago. Yashu’s father Surendra Swamy runs a grocery store, which leads to his house.

Yashu’s house also has his parents, a brother and a sister. Yashu told that Papa takes me 10 km daily for swimming practice and after practicing for about two and a half to three hours, I come back and study. Right now I am doing MSc and I am doing this after listening. Going to the state blind school in Bikaner, I started studying through Braille script and then resorted to audio books.

Doctors told that there is no cure for illness

Yashu said that on talking to doctors, he said that there is no cure for this disease right now, but research is going on in future, which can make it possible to treat it. When she used to study earlier, Retina started to be affected, due to which the doctors refused to study. This caused the eyes to deteriorate worse. After this, someone told me about Para Games and said that you play para games, you can do well there. About three years ago, athletics competition was held in Churu. The parents said that do not play in this competition, just go and see that there are many children and they play even in worse condition than you, so why can’t you play.

Increased encouragement after meeting children

After meeting the children in Churu, I felt that when these people can do it, why can’t I do it. When Bikaner came back to Bikaner, he got information about para athletics. After meeting many people, he suggested me swimming. Swimming was also very good for me. In Bikaner, Naveen Sevag started swimming in the company of Sir. Naveen Sevag Sir taught me the full nuances of swimming and guided me well. Right now Devendra and Narendra Sir are practicing and are also supporting. Yashu told that if you have any kind of problem, then stop once, be patient and look at the time. Keep faith in yourself and time changes, never stops. Do not stop and keep walking and finally you will definitely get success.

Yashu has won many medals so far

Yashu told that I have played at Inter College, State and National level till now. The Inter College has won a gold and a silver medal. I have won two gold medals in the state competition. Apart from this, a bronze medal has been won in the national competition last year. Right now he is practicing swimming for two to three hours in a row. The dream is to play in Asian Games and Olympic Games and bring medals for the country. Yashu told that he has a problem of retina in his eyes, which is from birth. This disease increases over time. As age increases, retina starts deteriorating. Earlier, she did not feel any kind of problem, but when she came in class 10, she started the problem of eyes.

After coming in class 12, this problem started to increase. After this, when he went to Ahmedabad and Chennai, this disease of the eyes was detected. In the second year of the college, the eye problem increased and in the final year of the college, the eyes deteriorated completely. After that, seeing the eyes stopped.
