70s heroine made a comeback on cinema after 22 years, Tehelka at the box office, given 9.3, IMDB rating film

New Delhi: The Amar Box, released in theaters on 9 May, has touched the hearts of the audience and emerged as the biggest Bengali opener of 2025. In just three days, the film has grossed Rs 110 crore, which is the most weekend grocer film for Bengali cinema, which is an impressive achievement for non-holiday release. After 22 years, the film has received immense love and tremendous praise due to Rakhi Gulzar’s brilliant comeback and Shiboprasad Mukherjee’s heart touching acting, due to which there is a huge crowd in theaters.

The Rakhee Gulzar starrer film milestone of the 70s has been proved at a time when the entertainment industry is facing complex changes in which the production house is choosing OTT instead of release in the production house theaters, given the sensitive tension between India and Pakistan. The film’s rating is also strong and Amar Boss has 9.3 ratings on IMDB, which is more than the recently released films Red 2 and Kesari Chapter 2 as well as Shah Rukh Khan’s jawan.
