This match of Asia Cup was played on 8 September 2022 between India and Afghanistan (IND Vs AFG) in Dubai. In which Afghanistan decided to bat first by winning the toss. Afghanistan overshadowed his decision. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s pair landed on the field and added 119 runs for the first wicket in 12.4 overs. KL Rahul was dismissed for 62 runs in 41 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 6 fours.

After this, Virat Kohli took the front but Suryakumar Yadav went away by adding only 6 runs to the team’s account. Virat Kohli was frozen at the other end. He added 87 runs for the third wicket with Rishabh Pant, bringing the team to a score of 212/2. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 122 in 61 balls. During this time, he hit six sixes and 12 fours which is the highest personal score in the Asia Cup (T20 format).

Farheed Ahmed was the only bowler to take wickets from Afghanistan team, who hunted two in four overs. However, during this time he looted 57 runs. The Afghanistan team, which came out to chase the huge target, was clearly seen under pressure. This team had lost four wickets for just nine runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the first four wickets.
