Understand Meghalaya Police’s reason for suspicion on Sonam in 3 points
1. After Raja’s murder, the mother -in -law called and lied The SIT was formed by the Meghalaya Police after the king’s body was found on 2 June. The investigation team was searching for Sonam. During this time, the team came to know that Sonam had called mother Uma Raghuvanshi in Indore at 1.43 pm on May 23. The mother -in -law had asked Sonam that the son ate food or not, otherwise Sonam replied that my mother is my fast.
Police Investigation: When a team of SIT questioned the operator of Shipara Home Stay, he told that Sonam had returned on May 23 and had ate good food. He was not with him. Sonam’s conversation with mother -in -law Uma and the statement of the operator of Homestay had a contradiction, due to which the police got suspicious.
2. Call details investigated after guide statement The second clue was given to the police by Albert Pad, the guide of Mawlakhiyat. He told that at 10 am on May 23, Raja and Sonam were seen with three other tourists from Nongriyat to Mawlakiyat. The three tourists were leading with the king, while Sonam was behind. They were all talking in Hindi. I only know Khasi and English, so I could not understand what they were saying.
Albert told the police that he knew both because he had offered his services to climb to Nongriyat a day earlier, but he refused. He took services to another guide Vansai.
Police Investigation: After Albert’s statement, the police took out the tower location and call details of Raja and Sonam’s mobile. This showed that Sonam was alive. The timing of dying in the Raja’s postmortem report and the timing of Sonam’s talks with the mother -in -law also revealed that by the time Sonam had talked to her mother -in -law, the king had been murdered by the time she had talked to her mother -in -law.
The king’s body was found with this ditch in Shillong.
3. Honeymoon couple’s selfie on social media Raja and Sonam reached Shillong on 21st. Here he took a room in a hotel. On May 22, the two left for Sohra. In Sohra, a hotel built near the police station arrived to get a room, but there was no place in the hotel. He placed his belongings in the hotel and went out for a walk.
On the same day, both reached the village of Mavalakiyat and rented the scooter to see the living route bridge in Nongriyat village of Sohra police station area. According to the police, they stayed in a home stay for one night and checked out the next day to return to Mavalkhiyat.
Police Investigation: Couples on honeymoon often upload pictures of honeymoon on their social media accounts. When the police searched the accounts of both of them, there was not a single picture of them. While he went to visit many places where couples often take selfies. When the police made a psychological assessment, it was found that everything was not good between Sonam and Raja.
One lie spoke in Indore, the other in UP
1. Get a ticket made… not to return According to the Meghalaya police, after marriage on May 11, on 16 May, the main accused Raj Kushwaha had planned to kill the king. As part of planning, Sonam had made a ticket for Shillong on the 20th. According to Sonam’s mother -in -law Uma, she did not talk about going to Shillong. The king was extremely busy, he did not want to go for a walk.
When Sonam herself booked the ticket and told the king, she also agreed to roam. Mother -in -law Uma said that it was surprising that Sonam did not have a return ticket. I also said this to the king, but the king told that he would come in five-six days. He asked the king to walk especially wearing a gold chain.
