One such film was released in the year 2023, which made the tag of the blockbuster with an earning that was earned. The name of that movie is ‘The Keral Story’.

Its story revolves around a Hindu girl named Shalini Unnikrishnan (Ada Sharma), who takes admission in a college in Kerala with a dream of becoming a nurse. Ada Sharma’s ‘The Kerala Story’ proved to be the highest grossing film in female centric films in India. In India, the film overtook Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (Rs 150 crore) (Rs 150 crore) and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ (Rs 132 crore) with a net collection of Rs 242 crore. Apart from Ada Sharma, stars like Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Pranay Pachauri, Priyadarshini and Pranav Mishra were seen in the film. ‘The Kerala Story’ knocked on the OTT platform G5 in February 2024, 9 months after its release at Theaters.
