Nicholas Poran and Heinrich Klassen’s name was surprising among the players who retired from international cricket in 2025, who said goodbye to international cricket at a very young age. Puran won several matches for the West Indies, while Klassen South Africa’s limited over match winner was wicketkeeper batsman. New Zealand opener Martin Guptill, Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, India’s fast bowler Varun Aaron, Shapur Jadaran of Afghanistan, wicketkeeper Writer of India, Western Saha, Sri Lankan’s sprinkle Piyush Chawla and Andre Russell of West Indies are among those players who announced retirement from all three formats of cricket this year.
Many players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli said goodbye to Test cricket this year. The Indian team went to play a 5 -Test series on a tour of England without these two where Team India succeeded in drawing the series. Sri Lankan’s Angelo Mathews are also among those who left the Test this year.
