Success story: According to a report by the American Heart Association, about 48% of adults in the US, ie 121.5 million people have problems related to some kind of dil. According to the report, most people in the world die due to heart disease. It is responsible for about 32% of global deaths. The risk of these deaths can be reduced by identifying first. Now, a 14 -year -old boy from Texas has developed a smartphone app that can detect early signs of heart disease in just seven seconds.
What does this app do
Actually, this app recognizes those signs of heart disease that can cause death. Such as irregular heartbeat, initial symptoms of heart failure, signs of coronary artery and heart valve abnormalities.
This app has been created by Siddharth Nandyala, who is Indian-American. According to Siddhartha, people can be helped by using AI and the health series system can be improved. In an interview given to Smithsonian magazine, he told that my interest in artificial intelligence in the field of health series was the reason for how much impact and change could be brought from it.
He collected data from hospitals in the US and India for months and collaborated with medical professionals and patients to revise his app. The clinical trial of his app consisted about 15,000 patients in the US and about 3,500 patients in India and according to Nandyala, the app gained more than 96% accuracy in detecting heart abnormalities.
Medical professionals appreciated the capability of the app to carry forward medical care in limited healthcare areas.
His work has given him a recognition certificate from the US House of Representatives and a congratulatory letter from the then President Joe Biden. This young nephew is already studying computer science at the University of Texas. He is planning to expand the capabilities of the app to detect lung -related diseases such as pneumonia and pulmonary embolism.
