In Thane, Maharashtra, a 10 -year -old girl was strangled to death after being raped. After this, the accused threw the body down from the bathroom window of his flat in the 6th floor. Police have arrested 20 -year -old accused Asif Akbar Mansoori.
Thane police said that the incident took place on Monday night in Samrat Nagar area of Mumbra area. Disaster Management Chief of Thane Municipal Corporation Yasin Tadvi said that information about the incident was received at 11.48 pm. The building in which this incident happened is 10 storey.
According to the police, the accused hails from Sultanpur in Banka district of Bihar. He took the girl with him by luring the toy. After this, he carried out the incident in his flat on the 6th floor.
Police said that a case has been registered against the accused for PocSo, murder, eradication of evidence and giving false information.
Police said that the flat of the accused was searched. Evidence has been found from there. The accused threw the body in the drain behind the building. People living nearby heard a loud voice. After this, people saw the dead body.
