Apart from this, a big team of the film was also to be taken care of. Only one person was responsible for handling them all. Actor Akhilendra Mishra, who has recently worked in ‘Lagaan’, told who goes to the credit for the success of ‘Lagaan’.

In an interview to YouTube channel Friday Talkies, Akhilendra Mishra has praised Apoorva Lakhia. He said that ‘Lagaan’ is not that film, if Apoorva Lakhia would not have contributed. Apoorva worked as an assistant to the film’s director Ashutosh Gowariker.

The biggest reason for the success of ‘Lagaan’
Akhilendra Mishra said, ‘Apoorva Lakhia is a very big reason for the success of that 6 -month schedule. They get very credited. Ashutosh Gowariker made the film, he wrote the script. But the control of Apoorva Lakhia on the set was worth watching. He did amazing work. The man raced 10,000 people. He was a shot after winning the match. The more said about them, the less. I was so impressed with him that I asked him about his background and he told me that he used to work in Hollywood.

70 lakh budgets and earnings 7 crores, the film was blocked with 1 advice of Manoj Kumar, the box office was lost

Was forbidden to walk without permission
Akhilendra told that the entire unit of the film used to get detailed call sheets, in which it was written when you eat food, when to make hair, when to apply mustache, when will you make makeup, when will you get ready by wearing a dhoti. He said, ‘If you are ready, then sit in the makeup room, it is not that go to the sets. You could not move even a step without telling. Even the same thing was strictly said to senior actors like Kulbhushan Kharbanda. You could not even walk without permission. There were vehicles to move from makeup to set. There was a great arrangement there.

The entire unit was taken special care
He further said that if the management of production was not there, then the schedule would not be successful. What do you want to eat? All from the line. The British used to eat Indian food. The international standard of food was standard. Breakfast used to be hot as soon as he got off the bus. This does not happen in second production. It was said that everyone has to drink Bisleri water. Keep an eye, because if the health of one gets worse then the entire schedule will deteriorate.
